In his speech at Labour’s conference in Liverpool Jeremy Corbyn quoted a line of poetry from the American poet Langston Hughes.

The Labour leader is fond of poetry, and has revealed he writes it himself.

He recently said his favourite book is the James Joyce classic “Ulysses, on the grounds that it’s very hard to understand the first time and doesn’t get much easier on the third or fourth reading of it.”
