The Daily Mail has reported that the pending nuptials between James Henderson, the former CEO of disgraced PR company Bell Pottinger and Heather Kerzner, ex-wife of South African billionaire Sol Kerzner, has been put on hold.
Henderson resigned from Bell Pottinger just before the publication of an independent report into its work with the Gupta family, which damaged the reputation of the company.
"I feel deeply let down by the colleagues who misled me. However, I think it is important I take proper accountability for what has happened," he said in a statement at the time.
The Daily Mail reported that Heather had invested a sum into the PR company and it is now unclear what will happen to her stake in the company. She and Henderson owned almost 40% of the company.
A source told the news site that the wedding was postponed and no new dates had been set.
In a statement circulated on Monday evening the United Kingdom's Public Relations and Communications Agency (PRCA) announced that Bell Pottinger will be expelled from the PRCA.
The expulsion will take immediate effect and constitutes "the most serious sanction" the PRCA can institute, according to the verdict.
