A new Android app promises to revolutionise mobile web access by doing away with expensive roaming and Wi-fi charges and providing the web "almost anywhere in the world".
Be-Bound uses the old 2G network - the same used for text messages - to transfer data between your phone and the internet.
Web data is compressed on cloud servers then sent via low-bandwidth text messages reducing data consumption.

Albert Szulman, CEO of Be-Bound, said: "We started with a simple observation: everybody has faced connection issues, even in covered areas like the train, the subway, indoor or any other areas with low connectivity."
Be-Bound contains built-in apps for services such as email, Twitter and news.

It also works on 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi when it's free to use and uses pre-paid credits called Be-Miles when using 2G.
Be-Miles cost £4.30 for 80 and one is enough to check the weather for instance, a fraction of standard roaming costs.
As well as being cheaper the app also dramatically increases internet coverage abroad too.
