Last summer, I stood in a bikini baring my scars to launch my campaign Scarred Not Scared. My blog post titled: "People with Scars Can't Wear Bikinis", went viral appearing in media all over the world and getting the attention of big social media influencers and celebrities alike.

Scarred Not Scared had the mission to get people to embrace their bodies and start a conversation about surgery scars. Growing up, I had a brain tumour, a punctured intestine, an obstructed bowel, a cyst in my brain and a condition called Hydrocephalus but what I struggled most with was my scars because no one was talking about it. By starting the conversation, I started receiving a number of messages of support and other people started sharing their story. Here is their story
