Canadian-based charity, Rethink Breast Cancer, has found a unique way to incentivise women to check their breasts for signs of cancer. By downloading the Your Man Reminder smartphone app women can have a 'hot man' pop up on their phone screen to remind them when it's time to check their breasts.

"Part of the work that we do is to try to educate young women about the importance of early detection. We really encourage women to know their breasts and know what their breasts normally look and feel like," said M.J. DeCoteau, executive director and founder of the Rethink Breast Cancer.

"When you download the app, the hot guy that you've picked is the one that's popping up to remind you it's time to check your breasts. It's a fun way to take out a little bit of the fear of thinking about early detection and thinking about breast cancer," she said.
