DESIGNER: Giles Deacon

IN A NUTSHELL: Simply put, it was "Showgirls, superstars, society ladies and a silver swan" (Giles' words, not ours...). This translated to swans appearing in numerous guises - from the Gaga-worthy headgear featured above to the slightly more user-friendly swan-print silk column strapless evening gown and silk tees. Shimmering silver came courtesy of Cecil Beaton's early photography, particularly the images of his sister Baba, and he even referenced Beaton's fantastical staging with the crinkled foil backdrop at the show.

BEG, BORROW AND STEAL: The silver laser-cut leather dresses, swan print column and the dusky nude satin prom dresses got our vote, and if you're in the market for a OTT feather-trimmed wedding dress there were a whole host of versions to pick from.

F-ROW: Dannii Minogue, Kelly Brook, Jessie J, Grimmy, Pixie Geldof, Jaime Winstone.

VERDICT:
Giles has a talent for combining the theatrical with the genuinely wearable and covetable, and his spring collection did not disappoint. Yes, there were the pap-friendly dramatic looks, but these were seamlessly intermingled with piece that were out of the ordinary without alienating.
