Sir Chris Hoy and his wife Sarra have taken their premature son home from hospital today (December 5).

Callum David Robert Hoy wasn't due to be born until December 27, but he arrived 11 weeks early on October 15.

Olympic champion Chris tweeted his joy that, after three weeks in a neonatal ward, Callum has been allowed to head home - in plenty of time for Christmas.

He followed this tweet with a message of thanks to the hospital staff who looked after Callum and added: "Still a long way to go but it's great to have him home!"

Chris's friends, including Gabby Logan and Edith Bowman, quickly congratulated him on the happy news.

Chris also shared the picture above showing his son pulling a fierce evil dictator pose - although we hate to break it to you Chris but Callum is probably plotting how he is going to keep you awake tonight!
