Christmas lists from primary school children this year are bound to mention one of three things (if not all three): Minecraft, Lego and loom bands.

There's so much on offer for all of these popular brands (and of course many more, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), so if you're overwhelmed by what's on the market, take a look at our round-up below for inspiration.

We have something for every budget (the guide starts from £3), with most items available from several retailers, so shop around online for the best price before hitting 'buy'.

Lego Minecraft is obviously going to be massive this year, and we've chosen the Cave as a top pick from the all the sets. The Cave is around the £60 mark, but if you're after smaller items there's lots on offer (Amazon and Argos are your friends this Christmas).

If you're buying for other's people's children, nieces, nephews and your child's friends, it's always worth a phone call to their parents for ideas. While our ideas take in the 'big hitters' for 2014, there's obviously a wealth of other options for pressies.
