Dad Sends Epic Message To The Boys Who May One Day Date His Daughter

Doting Dad Sends Warning To Boys Who May Date His Daughter
|

Any right-thinking parent will dread the moment their son or daughter starts dating.

While it's only natural to want your child to have a wealth of experiences, there is one - *cough* heartbreak - that we'd rather protect our young'uns from.

And to our knowledge, no father had articulated this sentiment better than slam poet Jesse Parent, whose poem 'To The Boys Who May One Day Date My Daughter' is resonating far and wide across the internet.

"If you break her heart, I will hear it snap with the ear I pressed against her mother's belly," he says, adding: "I have been teaching her love all of her life and all that I ask is that you continue the lesson - love her, befriend her, be there when I can't."

Very well said, papa.
