Olives are a fantastic antipasti, but if you're adding them to sauces or salads, you definitely don't want to be biting into a hard pit.

Thankfully, pitting olives is easier than it sounds.

In the above video by HealthiNation, presenter Phoebe demonstrates how you can remove the pit from olives by placing the flat side of a knife against the fruit, then hitting it against a hard surface until the pit pops out.

It's a great way to get pit-free olives and take out your frustrations.

Use a stainless steel or copper bowl. Re-wash and dry your bowl before making meringue even if you think it's clean, then put it in the fridge for a few minutes before starting.
