If you've ever dropped your laptop then you might know the devastating crunch of glass on concrete that means you're either claiming on your insurance - or buying a new computer.

But when it happens to someone else? Turns out it's not quite so devastating.

As evidence check out this video of the internet pranksters Awesomeness TV pretending to accidentally smash iMacs to pieces outside the Apple Store. Watch the looks of the passers-by. Shocked? Yes. Vaguely amused and glad it's not them? Also yes.

Either way, it's a funny prank. Even if dropping boxes of smashed glass itself seems like a recipe for disaster...
