The Women Who Have Inspired Me

I absolutely love women and I feel lucky to have come across, as far as I'm concerned, some of the best... I also have a core group of five girls who I absolutely wouldn't be able to live or breath without. And I especially wouldn't have been able to get through certain times of my life without.

I absolutely love women and I feel lucky to have come across, as far as I'm concerned, some of the best. From age 20 to 23 I went to work as an assistant for an amazing fashion stylist called Cynthia Lawrence-John. We worked together for two years and she just really taught me hard graft and to gain respect from people by being really damn good at your job. I think that's a really valuable lesson to learn. It's not just about people liking you, it's also about people respecting the work that you do. On a more personal level she probably took me under her wing and really sorted me out at a time of need when I had no idea what I was doing. I especially didn't know how to be a stylist assistant, I learnt on the job, she was really very generous at being patient and also taught me to be a yes person, because Cynthia is a yes person.

I also have a core group of five girls who I absolutely wouldn't be able to live or breath without. And I especially wouldn't have been able to get through certain times of my life without. But two of that group are my best friends in the world that know me better than anyone, Camilla and Beth.
