London Fashion Week: Day Four At The Autumn/Winter 2015 Shows

The schedule for day four of London Fashion Week was jam-packed with shows from the likes of Roksanda, Erdem, Burberry Prorsum and Christopher Kane.

Here's a heads up on the need-to-knows from the Autumn/Winter 2015 catwalk scene.

If you're all about bright look-at-me-do-fabulous pops of colour then Roksanda Ilincic's collection will have you head over heels.

Waist-cinching woven dresses (think a tapestry of weaves) in pink, orange, purple, blue and burgundy were teamed with beautiful fur throw-ons (stoles, sleeveless jackets and coats), suede and patent lace-up shoes and punchy lipstick.

Roksanda ladies are all about luxe, lavish wears and they're never not looking polished and put-together. The showpiece from the collection? Any of the striped, oversized fur stoles. We'll take this one below.

Over on the Erdem catwalk there was a focus on floral brocade dresses - long sleeved, cut-out, tunic, strapless, collared - that were all opulence. As in, works of art with a contemporary edge: knee high leather boots and bleached out brows.

Dress coats were woollen topped with metallic brocade hems or leopard print with shearling fringing on the sleeves. Outerwear that will turn heads on every occasion.

Another strong contender on the outerwear front (because that is winter's staple wardrobe item) was Burberry.

Christopher Bailey sent his model fleet down the runway in a 1970s-inspired collection that gave folksy fringing and shearling the nod.

The Burberry girl is eclectic so the whole tribal vibe is right up her street. Pairing suede, print, patchwork, velvet and lace is all in a day's outfit.

Thigh high boots are well worth investing in as are leopard print accessories and a clashy boho dress and poncho (with fringing).

Christopher Kane's agenda for A/W 2015 is black tailored suits, blazers and coats (made for making a statement in the office), velvet dresses and skirts with female mannequin prints, and sheer ruffle-trim evening wear.

Monday evening was about Peter Pilotto and the whimsy white catwalk looks: laser cut separates, embellished outerwear, embroidered skirts and dresses. Classy with a playful edge.

If top-to-toe white is not for you then the pops of colour (blue, green, orange, mustard yellow) in geometric print are the way to go.

On the Giles Deacon runway the vibe was gothic Victorian glamour: lots of black, bow detailing and a nod to the ruff collar.

The Brit designer knows how to do dark, sultry, smouldering. As does Kendall Jenner.
