Hairstylist Mark Bustos Gives Free Haircuts To The Homeless

#BeAwesomeToSomebody

A high-end barber is providing homeless people with free haircuts to help give them a boost of confidence.

For the past three years, celebrity hairstylist Mark Bustos has spent his Sundays walking around the streets of New York - stopping to offer his services to those in need.

But his styling sessions are often more than just a haircut. According to an NYC-based homeless charity, Bustos' work enables people to envision a better life for themselves.

Bustos, whose regular clients include Marc Jacobs and Phillip Lim, has also taken his talents across the whole of America, along with China, Costa Rica and Jamaica - starting a social media movement called #BeAwesomeToSomebody, which now has thousands of followers.

"No matter where you are in the world, everyone can appreciate a haircut and everyone has a story," he told Today. "It comes down to the simple fact that we're all human."
