A nine months pregnant woman endured a terrifying ordeal after her car hit an electricity pylon in a severe snow storm in Kent.

The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, was taken to Kent's William Harvey Hospital after the crash, with medics fearing the incident could trigger labour.

Her car is believed to have ploughed into the electricity pylon after heavy snowfalls brought most of Kent to a standstill.

After an examination, her baby was found to be unharmed, and its arrival not imminent. The woman was treated for back and neck pain and later discharged.

Are you braving travelling in the snow despite being pregnant or having young children?
