Prince Charles Doesn't Want You To Obsess Over Kate Middleton's Wardrobe Anymore

HRM the Queen is 87 years-old, so Prince Charles' decision to take on more official duties on his mother's behalf is just good practise. He is going to be king after all.

However, The Daily Beastreports that Charles is moving his press team into Buckingham Palace and with this, he will also be overseeing press coverage for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. In short, he's totally trying to take away our the media's focus on Kate's wardrobe wares.

The idea of Charles taking over is: "to refocus the attention of the UK on serious and worthy issues such as the environment, nature and architecture, discussion of which he wants to promote during his kingship."

The Daily Beast says: "[Charles] is known to be concerned that the image of the glamorous young royals is in danger of completely eclipsing the serious work of both the younger and more senior royals."

The haps is that the soon-to-be King of England "is frustrated [...] that royal gossip – especially when it concerns the younger and more good looking members of the royal cast - receive global coverage while their serious labour on behalf of difficult causes often goes unremarked, except by local news outlets."

To be fair, the Kate effect (that relentless obsession with her style, her handbags, her hair) has gone through the roof but will Charles' decision to dilute the Kate and Wills press team really change that?

We're all for those well-doing royal appointments, but not caring about Kate's flawless fashion moves? Never going to happen.
