Prince George's new nanny could have become a nun if she hadn't followed her love for caring for children, according to friends.

Friends have said Spanish-born Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, 43, was nicknamed Santa – Spanish for saint, when she was a child.

And locals in her home city of Palencia in northern Spain said they would not have been surprised if Maria Teresa had taken holy orders.
