Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Pictures Leaked, Looks Rather Familiar

Pictures purporting to be of the soon-to-be-released Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 have been leaked online although you couldn't tell as it looks pretty much the same as the previous model.

And despite the best attempts of tech writers everywhere, no one really knows anything about the spec of the device so here's a round-up of some speculation...

Above the display there seems to be a front-facing camera on the white version, but no secondary sensors dot which is on the Tab 3 10.1. That black variant only has the Samsung logo, but we'd be surprised if this was the case come launch.

It also sports the white battery and clock icons in the notification bar, which is a clear nod towards the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 running Android 4.4 KitKat - although you can be sure that Samsung's TouchWiz overlay will be slapped on top.

What we do know is that the device will come with a 10.1 inch display, the existing model comes with a WXGA display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels.

We would expect the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to feature a higher resolution display than the existing model, and suspect it will feature a full HD display, possibly with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

See that thing below the camera? That checks your pulse. And you can't really do that on an iPhone, aside from a bunch of junky apps that don't really do anything. (credit:Flickr:pestoverde)
Wash Your Phone(02 of09)

Phones are disgusting, and covered in bacteria. The Galaxy S5 is water resistant, which means you can wash it. Try that on your iPhone and you won't have a working iPhone for very long. (credit:Getty Images)

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has an SD Card slot, meaning you can add an additional 128GB of storage. The iPhone doesn't, and can't.

The iPhone 5S beat the S5 to having a fingerprint scanner. But the S5 also lets you pay for stuff using that same scanner, thanks to a partnership with PayPal.
Shoot In 4K(05 of09)

The S5 has a 4K video recorder. Which is awesome, even if you don't have a TV anywhere good enough to actually watch it in 4K.
Save Your Battery(06 of09)

The S5 has a low-power mode which literally turns the screen black and white to save power when you most need it. It works, and it's an intelligent way to drain the last juice from your phone.
Wear A Gear Fit(07 of09)

Samsung's Gear Fit was the coolest thing on show at MWC this year. This curved-screen wearable fitness tracker is the most stylish we've seen yet, and has a chance to become the first great device in its class. And it only runs on Galaxy phones.
Wear A Genuinely Cool Smartwatch(08 of09)

The Galaxy Gear watch was awkward and missed loads of features. The Gear 2 - with its heartrate monitor, colourised backgrounds, new features and sleeker form factor (oh, and replaceable straps) helps fix those problems and more.
Take Pictures With Dynamic HDR(09 of09)

The S5 knows when you need HDR to shoot better pictures, and can display the effect live on the screen. The iPhone can't.
