This little lad is lucky to be alive after weaving through rush-hour traffic – the wrong way – on a toy motorbike.

The three year-old was captured on CCTV in the frantically busy rush in China's Wenzhou city.

Apparently oblivious to the danger he dodged and weaved to avoid ongoing cars and buses heading towards him.

Thankfully, the boy was spotted by a police officer who plucked him to safety – and neither he, nor his toy motorbike – were harmed.

"It took place at about 5.30pm during rush hour, with huge passenger and traffic flows," said the officer who rescued him.

The child was reunited with his grandfather, who looks after him while the boy's parents are at work.

He insisted he always kept a close eye on the lad but the little boy had disappeared when he went to the toilet.
