Ideally you want a tulip-shaped pint glass (like the official Guinness one) that is nice and cold to pour your pint into.

Like with most beers, you want to pour Guinness at a 45° angle. If you have a Guinness branded glass, place the harp directly under the nozzle as a guide.

Pull the tap all the way towards you to get the maximum amount of pressure. This will liberate the necessary amount of gas need to give your pint a decent head.

As the Guinness reaches the 'Guinness' wording begin to level the glass, slowly increasing the angle you're holding it at until you're holding it straight.

Do nothing for 60 seconds and watch your pint change colour. It takes a little patience, but it's necessary.

Push the glass away from the nozzle as you fill your pint to the top for the perfect finish.

Kick back with your pint and have an awesome St Paddy's Day!
