The Anna Freud Centre Annual Open Afternoon for Families

The Anna Freud Centre Annual Open Afternoon for Families

On the 23rd of September from 14:30 - 17:00, the Anna Freud Centre will be holding it's annual Open Afternoon.

The Open Afternoon provides a free afternoon of fun activities for families including arts and crafts, games, face painting, story time, children's entertainment and a raffle. The theme is Feeling Good, so there will be lots of fun ways for families to learn about top tips for feeling good: talk to someone, do something enjoyable, find ways to relax and remember the good things.

As a profile raising event, the Open Afternoon raises awareness of great work, innovative treatments and invaluable support services for children and families offered at the Centre. We hope all attendees will come away from the event feeling inspired by the Centre's core principle of caring for young minds.

The Open Afternoon will be even more special this year as the Centre is also celebrating its 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion there will be a short speech from two of our directors, Peter Fonagy and Mary Target, and six volunteers from a local primary school will cut our birthday cake!
