Men Are Using Tough Mudder Races To Help Overcome Life's Hurdles

'Weekend Warriors', a documentary following five men as they attempt to conquer the 12 mile military-style obstacle course, Tough Mudder, is coming to BBC Two on Wednesday.

In a true test of endurance, 'mudders' face barriers including 12 foot walls, mud-filled trenches, giant skips of ice and even electrocution.

As well as following the participants exhausting regimes as they prepare for the race, the documentary sets out to explore the reasons behind why the men are putting themselves through the gruelling course.

Among those taking part is a man struggling to come to terms with his recent divorce, a man who was left heartbroken by an ex, a father and son hoping to rebuild their relationship, an ex-army personal trainer and two builders who have left their training right until the last minute.
