Dr Conrad Steenkamp is an anthropologist and writer and studied at the University of the Witwatersrand and abroad. He has substantial experience with community development, community-based natural resource management and land claims and is currently the CEO of the Afrikaans Language Council (Afrikaanse Taalraad – ART). The Council represents Afrikaans and its speakers in their full diversity and promotes Afrikaans within a multilingual context.
