Chief Executive of the Campaign to Protect Rural England

Crispin joined CPRE as chief executive in September 2017. He was previously the chief executive of the Churches Conservation Trust, the UK charity protecting historic churches at risk. Crispin is a founder member of European network, Future Religious Heritage and an International Advisory Panel Member at the Foundation for Jewish Heritage. He is a member of the UK Government’s Rural Affairs Department (DEFRA)’s Civil Society Partnership Network core group. Crispin is Chair of Governors at Stoke Newington School and Sixth Form in London. He was formerly trustee of a number of UK charities including The Heritage Alliance, Rethink Mental Illness and The Building Exploratory. Crispin trained as a social worker and was formerly chief executive of the Revolving Doors Agency. He was awarded the OBE for services to heritage and charitable foundations in January 2017.
