CSR & sustainability consultant and blogger

I like to call myself a ‘worldsmith’ – in other words, a wordsmith who cares passionately about making things better for people and planet. But it’s not something people search for. So, I usually describe myself as a sustainability and CSR consultant and copywriter. I’m co-owner of an ethically-run family micro-brand - Ideal Word Ltd – and work a wide variety of organisations wanting to improve their CR performance, or simply improve how they communicate what they do. I’m at my happiest (and best) when I can combine my love of education with environmental activity and gardening, so thoroughly enjoy volunteering as an educational tour leader for Garden Organic. I caught the campaigning bug when I worked for Anita Roddick at The Body Shop HQ, and remain committed to standing up for social and environmental justice. I’m a big fan of 38 Degrees, Greenpeace and World Development Movement (WDM). I live in Stratford-upon-Avon where I co-founded the Save Shakespeare’s Shottery campaign to fight unsustainable property development that threatens to destroy our environment and Shakespeare’s heritage. I am an active local member of the Green Party.
