Namhla Mniki-Mangaliso

Executive Director of African Monitor

Namhla Mniki is a pan-Africanist, a development activist, global leader, speaker and campaigner in global development issues, including the eradication of poverty, government accountability and youth development.  She is a futurist, and strongly believes in Africa’s transformative power. She is the executive Director and part of the founding team for African Monitor, a high profile continental body set up as a catalyst to monitor development resource commitments, delivery and impact on grassroots communities. She is also the Founder and Chief Executive of KB Media, an entrepreneurial venture developing TV and film content for and with Africa’s working poor while leveraging technology. She is a social entrepreneur trained as a development economist, and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business, South Africa.  In her latest venture, Ms. Mniki is developing and producing a series of blogs and vlogs targeting girls and women with the aim to liberate, empower and activate.
