DEVolution have announced "Transition", a four-track EP set for release on August 25th 2013. The eclectic tone and lustrous beat found on the first track "Admire" was premiered on Mista Jam's BBC 1Xtra show, earlier this month which was a taste of things to come from the duo this year.
'Admire' - penned alongside song writing man of the moment MNEK and vocalised by Aaron Soul over a piercing house instrumental, is the first track from the new EP. The duo's first offering cements the notion that a song about love can still be punchy, uplifting and infectiously head-nod worthy. DEVolution's sound is a mixture of influences deriving from an electronic music background which is the least one could expect from the two. Pete Devereux was very much involved within the mainstream world as half of the Artful Dodger, who took UK Garage from the midst of the underground and set it free into the charts whilst his partner in musical crime Tom Devos was once a former artist for Steve Anjello's Size Records.
For any reveler lucky enough to have caught the pair perform at Fabric Live, it is evident their mission is to ignite venues with real bangers, proving just why getting them on the bill seems to be the new 'in' thing.
