Britain's Got Talent 2014

What do a boyband, a magician, a singer and a dance troupe all have in common? They are all in the BGT final 2014. This week is flying over and I can't believe we are already on semi-final three. Who will join them?

Ahead of the first act I would like to thank Team Midas' Lucy Kay, for sending me this lovely message ahead of her performance tonight, "Thank you to @Midastalentpr for supporting me through my journey on @GotTalent - it means the world to me!" Lucy, it's an honour.

Going first is always hard and the pressure was really on for Crazy Rouge. Well it's a yes from me. No, seriously it was like having Las Vegas in my front room and on a dark, wet and gloomy night, that's a huge positive. Good start.

Once my Simon was given some water, it was time for Ellis Chick to have his time in the spotlight. It was a good performance. It didn't wow me but, for one so young, you really couldn't fault it. Fast forward a few years and this lad will be one to watch

The last puppet I saw (last night) was pants, really bad. I hope Sam Jones can make me smile. Oh dear, not tonight I'm afraid. Nothing more to comment.

Alesha's golden buzzer act REAformed were brilliant in their first audition, so they have a lot to live up to. The vocals were good, they look great and I think they are set for big things.

During the auditions my Simon called Brian Chan C##p. I agreed 100%. Tonight, in terms of an entertainment act, it didn't work. In terms of showcasing his work, probably life changing. Good luck Brian.

Last night the Addict Initiative set the bar high for any dance troupe following them. Cartel started with a very funny and brilliant VT. They completely fooled everyone by saying Jamie had left after Simon's audition comments. Then BAM, Jamie appeared. The music choices were perfect and the choreography was fantastic. Thumbs up.

Mother and daughter duo Kitty & Rosie really put a lovely happy smile on my face. Yes it was karaoke but they were enjoying it and so was I. That's good enough for me.

Team Midas act Lucy Kay blew the roof off, so emotional and vocally perfect. I had tears in my eyes and the hairs were standing up on my neck. The best operatic singer I have ever heard in my life and yes, Lucy is part of Team Midas. So proud tonight.

French dance trio Yanis, Arnaud and Mehdi are very slick and great to watch. Fantastic routine and very entertaining. Another great end to a BGT semi final.

Right, it's over to you. Next it's the results.

The winner of the public vote was Lucy Kay

The two to face the judges vote are Yanis, Arnaud and Mehdi and Cartel. The judges couldn't decide so it went to the public vote and Yanis and team came out on top.

Trying to remain impartial but I'm over the moon for Lucy Kay. Brilliant news.

Phew, see you tomorrow
