X Factor 2014...The Countdown Begins

The Voice is fantastic, BGT is amazing...but what we are all waiting for is the big one, the world cup of reality shows. The one, the only The X Factor.

At last, my Simon returns (crying, me?). The Queen of reality, Cheryl, (nee Tweedy, Cole, Fernandez-Versini keep up) is also claiming her seat back and we have a new kid on the X Factor UK judging block, a certain Spice girl called Mel B. My era, still love them! Oh, and of course Louie Walsh.

Fresh from my successful backing of BGT runner Lucy Kay, Team Midas need to follow that up with a finalist..or two.

A quick time for reflection on 2013.......

"What I am hoping to see this year? Well, I think a mixed group will do well. I also think the boys section will be very strong again this season and as we know, the first ever series started with an 'overs' victory, so will we get a repeat on the 10th show?? Time will tell on that one"

The mixed group never materlised but the boys finished 2nd & 3rd and Sam Bailey won for the overs. Not bad Midas, not bad at all.

As with everything, you are only as good as your next predictions, so here are my thoughts for 2014. The girls will come back strong this year and I think they will be fighting with a group to be crowned this years winner.

I also want to offer my services to Mr Cowell and the team. If they need some help at judges houses (will take Ireland, but only a hot sunny country is preferred), then I can make myself available and if they need to see my Team Midas CV, which contains a Leona Lewis, One Direction, Cher Lloyd, the winners of BGT in 2012 & 2013 and this years world class recent Sony signing Lucy Kay, then here it is.

I have a feeling this years show will be absolutely huge, I mean massive. The dream team of Simon & Cheryl reunite and I can't wait to see the fireworks from Mel B & Louie. If we thought 2010 was the golden year, then just wait for 2014.

Yes it's hard work, yes it's 24/7 but I love it and I can't wait for it all to start on the TV. Enjoy the next few weekends because the X Factor rollercoaster is just around the corner. See you all on the 30th.
