Last week, Apprentice viewers were left a little confused when they spotted a man lying on the floor of the boardroom during the most recent episode of the BBC series.
No one – including the BBC and the production company behind The Apprentice – seemed able to identify the mysterious man, but candidate Thomas Skinner reckons he’s cracked the case (although we’re not sure how seriously to take him).
Addressing his Twitter followers, Thomas wrote: “People keep asking me who was the geeza laying on the floor under the table in last tasks boardroom! Well I can actually reveal it was @ryanmarkparsons’ foot masseuse.”
Thomas added: “The #Pig flys him in from Hamburg every Wednesday to keep his feet relaxed during the boardroom!”
Ryan-Mark was quick to reply and frankly, we’re speechless...
So yeah, we’re not sure we’ve got to the bottom of the mystery just yet.
The 15th series of The Apprentice is currently airing on BBC One, but it’s proved controversial after viewers noticed that of the seven candidates who have been fired so far, six have been from BAME backgrounds.
Jemelin Artigas was the latest contestant to be shown the door following last week’s task, which saw the teams attempting to put together advertising campaigns about tourism in Finland.
There has also been a racism scandal involving candidate Lottie Lion, currently still in the competition, who was accused of writing “shut up Gandhi” to another contestant in a group WhatsApp conversation.
Lottie has insisted the comment was not racist, but rather inspired by a prior conversation about Gandhi within the group.
She insisted: “The comments were taken out of context, and I ask the public not to make judgment without knowing the full context. At the moment, I would like my focus to be on the show, and I’m not interested in negative media attention.”
The Apprentice airs every Wednesday night at 9pm on BBC One.
