Who'll triumph on the night?

The shortlist for this year’s British Soap Awards has been announced, and ‘EastEnders' and ‘Hollyoaks’ are leading the way, with 14 nominations each.

The ceremony will take place in London later this month, and the two soaps will go up against ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Emmerdale’, who have scooped 13 nominations apiece, as well as daytime soap ‘Doctors’.

A number of high-profile storylines are understandably in the running for accolades, including Emmerdale’s abuse storyline, which focussed on Danny Miller’s character Aaron Livesy.

Danny is up against Jack P Shepherd (‘Corrie’), Charlie Clapham (‘Hollyoaks’), Danny Dyer (‘EastEnders’) and Kieron Richardson (‘Hollyoaks’) for the Best Actor prize.

During a recent chat with The Huffington Post UK, Kieron revealed who he thinks his biggest competition is.
