Claire Richards Will Be Chaperoning Her 11-Year-Old Son On His First Date

She says she'll keep a "low profile".

Claire Richards has shared a typical embarrassing mum moment, as she said she’ll be chaperoning her 11-year-old son on his first ever date this weekend.

The 41-year-old singer, who was on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ to talk about motherhood and her music career, revealed that her eldest child, Charlie, wants to go out bowling with a girl at school.

Richards, a former member of ‘Steps’, said: “He’s going to kill me! Bless him, he came home and asked her to go out with him.”

Richards said she’d keep a low profile during the date, adding: “I’m just going to be in the lane next to them and pretend I’m not there.”

Claire and her husband Reece Hill – who she married in 2008 – also have a nine-year-old daughter, Daisy.

The mother-of-two has been supporting her ‘Steps’ co-member Faye Tozer on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ live tour, after she made it to the semi-finals last December. Richards admitted she would love to do the BBC show herself.
