Yasmeen will be understandably devastated to learn of her husband’s betrayal, and it will get even worse for him when she discovers it has been going on for seven years.

The affair reveal was supposed to trigger a series of events that would play out until Christmas, and while this is still the case, bosses are believed to have tweaked some aspects of the plot following Marc’s sacking

The actor’s contract was terminated in September, after he posted a series of racially offensive comments on Twitter and all scenes currently being screened were filmed before the incident.

At the time, an ITV spokesperson said: “We are deeply shocked by the entirely unacceptable, racially offensive comments made on Twitter by Marc Anwar.

“We have talked to Marc and, as a consequence of his comments, he will not be returning to ‘Coronation Street’ with immediate effect.”

He later apologised for the tweets and removed them from the website.

These ‘Corrie’ scenes will air form Monday 31 October. Catch up on all the latest soap news and spoilers here.
