Firefighters have brought a large blaze at a block of flats in Glasgow city centre under control.
The alarm was raised about the incident at the three-storey Lancefield Quay at 6.43pm on Monday, with around 60 firefighters called to the fire.
Crews were met with a “well-developed” fire within the second floor of the building.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) sent 12 appliances to the scene, as well as specialist officers and resources. Police Scotland were also called to the fire.
On Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for the fire service said the blaze had been “scaled down”, but that five appliances still remained at the scene.
“There are no reports of casualties or injuries,” they added.
Sheena Anderson, a resident in the block of flats for the past 17 years, told the BBC her home had been destroyed in the fire.
“It will be demolished,” she said. “They’ve got all the water that’s coming down from the house above me.
“If a wee trickle comes, it pours down the walls, so my house will be demolished. Nothing surer. I can’t believe it.
“I’ve got what I’m standing up in.
“OK, it could be worse, but that’s a terrible fire. What caused it, they don’t know.”
