It’s been almost 20 years since the UK was introduced to the pop group Hear’Say on the groundbreaking TV talent search Popstars, leading some pop fans to speculate on whether the former band members would be doing something to mark the occasion.

However, if there is any sort of Hear’Say reunion, Myleene Klass has made it clear that she won’t be part of it.

Myleene was one of five singers who were put together by the Popstars judges in 2001, alongside Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Noel Sullivan and Danny Foster.

In a new interview with You magazine, she admitted she’d already been approached about a Hear’Say reunion in honour of the group’s 20th anniversary, but turned it down.

“They asked me. I told them, ‘Go forth, with my blessing’,” Myleene said. “Look at where we are. We are mothers of blended families and second marriages and Kym’s a granny. It’s a lifetime ago.”

She continued: “If I go backwards, I won’t know who I am. I hope it works. I will be cheering the loudest.”

Hear’Say lasted a year in the spotlight before announcing they’d split, prior to which Kym Marsh quit the group after rows with her bandmates, and was replaced by Johnny Shentall.

Since the group’s split, Myleene has forged a new career for herself as a TV and radio personality, following an appearance on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! in 2006.

Myleene is currently one of 12 celebrities taking part in the new series of Dancing On Ice, where she is partnered with Łukasz Różycki.
