‘Loose Women’ Star Jamelia’s Step-Brother Tafarwa Beckford Charged With Murder

Tafara Beckford stands accused of killing a 25-year-old following a brawl in Birmingham.

The step-brother of ‘Loose Women’ panellist Jamelia has been charged with murder.

Tafara Beckford, 33, stands accused of killing Derek Junior Myers, 25, following a double shooting in Birmingham on 30 October last year, which left another critically injured.

Mr Beckford, of Duchess Road, Ladywood, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Another man, Rio Sanchez-Williams, has been charged with the attempted murder of a 29-year-old man, who remains critically ill in hospital.

Det Supt Mark Payne said several people remain on bail in connection with the attack as officers "sift through information to identify those who were involved".

Jamelia, 35, who grew up in Birmingham, hasn’t made any comment on the case.

The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star has been a regular panellist on ‘Loose Women’ since 2013.
