Jeremy Corbyn sat on a train floor to suffer alongside commuters on a three-hour journey with nowhere to sit and it basically confirmed everyone’s pre-existing view of him.

His uncomfortable plight was filmed for his campaign as he bemoaned the lack of trains and made the case for re-nationalising the railways.

He asks: “Is it fair that I should upgrade my ticket whilst others who might not be able to afford such a luxury should have to sit on the floor?

“It’s their money I would be spending after all.”

But Tweeters seemed too entrenched in their view of Corbyn either way to budge and the clip only confirmed everyone’s suspicions no matter how different they are.

His failure to pre-book a seat for free ahead of his three-hour journey to Newcastle for the hustings with Owen Smith confirmed the view he was incompetent.

A seat reservation on a train is free. Corbyn knew he was going to Newcastle for the hustings days in advance. Too inept to even book a seat

...Or that he was only capable of empty gestures.

Corbyn ignored & then undermined his own transport policy team for months. Sitting on a train floor is no consolation. It's just silly.

...Or that he was an authentic Man Of The People in stark contrast to Other Politicians.

...Or that he was always sanctimonious.

This is pure Marie Antoinette-at-Petit-Trianon stuff, cloaked as ever in Corbyn's trademark sanctimony. https://t.co/soP4v5XhWv

...Or that he is always criticised no matter what he does.

'Jeremy Corbyn can't lead Labour as not media savvy.'
*Jeremy Corbyn does PR train stunt*
'Jeremy Corbyn is unfit cynical media whore'

Mercifully, Tweeters also had some funnies for the benefit of people who have lost interest in the ongoing saga of Labour tearing itself apart.

All very good that J Corbyn sat on the train floor but he obstructed the 1st class drinks trolley & I had to wait 4 mins for my champagne.

Roses are red
Hey it's this meme again
Why didn't Corbyn
Book a seat on the train

Corbyn has made the railways a flagship policy of his leadership campaign, though he has been accused of simply re-hashing existing policies of his ex-Shadow Cabinet colleagues.
