Line Of Duty star Rochenda Sandall has said she doesn’t believe the series finale means we’ve seen the last of her character Lisa McQueen.
On Sunday night, fans of the BBC police drama saw organised crime group (OCG) member McQueen enter witness protection after informing on their operations to AC-12.
Despite seemingly turning over a new leaf, now working with young teens on how to avoid crime, Rochenda isn’t convinced by McQueen’s sudden change of character, and believes her story could be revisited in future series.
Speaking to Digital Spy, she said: “I’m not sure Lisa has turned her life around. I feel, personally, that there’s still a little bit of a lie in there.”
Revealing her theory that her decision to offer up information on the OCG could come back to haunt McQueen, Rochenda continued: “I also don’t think it’s the end for Lisa. I don’t think that she’ll get off scot-free. If you think about it, nobody who’s gone for immunity, in the whole series, has ever got away with it.
“Myself and Ryan [Pilkington] are the only two OCG members left and I know about his police school... so I don’t think it’s the end. I hope it’s not the end. But I won’t know until the time comes!”
While admitting she doesn’t know what plans showrunner Jed Mercurio has in store for the sixth series, she added: “I definitely think there’s an open door for Lisa.”
A popular fan theory had claimed McQueen was actually an undercover officer, with suspicions raised over her emotional reactions to the deaths of Maneet Bindhra and John Corbett, while working as part of the OCG.
However, this was proved to be incorrect during the finale, with Jed later going on record to explain her reactions were red herrings and that McQueen was just a criminal with a conscience.

While Hastings was cleared of being H, there are still suspicions he could be the fourth corrupt officer, which Jed has hinted will be explored in the next series.
