Little Mix have thrown some shade at Zayn Malik once again, with a video that appears to show singer Jade Thirlwall mocking his less-than-stellar dance moves.
Over the weekend, the girls debuted their new single ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, the lyrics of which appear to take a few swipes at Zayn, following his break-up with band member Perrie Edwards last year.
However, new video footage shared on Jade’s Snapchat shows her “auditioning” for her bandmates, with some dance moves that look awfully similar to Zayn’s infamous appearance at ‘X Factor’ Bootcamp back in 2010.
Just so you can compare for yourself, here’s the footage of Jade performing for her fellow Little Mixers…
...and here’s Zayn dancing to Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ back in the day (and yes, that’s his future bandmate Harry Styles in the hoodie behind him)...
The group performed ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ during Sunday’s (16 October) ‘X Factor’ results show, with the song’s lyrics raising eyebrows over allusions to Perrie and Zayn’s split.
During her verse, she’s heard singing: “Heard he in love with some other chick… I hope she gettin’ better sex, hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did.”
In the lead-up to the song’s release, Perrie admitted that she hadn’t given Zayn a heads up about the song, with Jesy Nelson insisting that he “didn’t deserve” one.
Perrie recently confirmed reports that Zayn ended their two-year engagement over a text message, writing in the group’s upcoming book ‘Our World’: “It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.”
