Stoke Newington Knife Attack: Man Stabbed To Death In North London

Thirty-six homicide investigations have been launched in the capital this year.

A man has been stabbed to death in north London, Scotland Yard has said.

Police were called at around 5.45pm on Wednesday to Matthias Road, Stoke Newington, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered suffering from a stab injury and died at the scene, despite paramedics’ efforts.

Police are working to inform his next of kin.

No arrests have been made. A crime scene is in place as enquiries continue.

Thirty-six homicide investigations have been launched in London since the start of the year, including 23 stabbings.
