Mara Wilson Opens Up About ‘Embracing Bi/Queer Label’

The star shared the news on Twitter, alongside a vintage snap of herself.

'Matilda' actress Mara Wilson has opened up about her sexuality, stating that she is "embracing the bi/queer label".

In a series of Twitter posts, the former child star has explained her thoughts, and shared a picture of herself at a gay club, taken when she was 18:

While Mara has stated that she won’t be giving any interviews to talk about her tweets, she has won praise from hundreds of fans on social media.

One writes: "Mara Wilson coming out as bi is a beautiful thing."

The star then thanked everyone for their support, while stating that she will be taking a break from the social networking site.

She wrote: “I think I'm going to stay off Twitter for a few days. I had no idea this would be such a thing, but I guess it's flattering.

“Thank you so much to everybody who has sent me words of support. I support you all, too. ❤️”
