Mary Berry 'Will Judge Great British Bake Off Until She's 124,' Says Paul Hollywood

Paul says his co-star is on 'Bake Off' for the LONG haul.

Anyone afraid that Mary Berry might not be returning to ‘Great British Bake Off’ in the future can breathe a sigh of relief, as Paul Hollywood says she won’t be going anywhere for a long time yet.

During the six years ‘Bake Off’ has been on the air, Mary has won herself a legion of fans, rising from cult figure to national treasure, and Paul reckons she’s just getting started.

A 124-year-old Mary Berry lifting a slice of lemon drizzle to her mouth and then telling an amateur robot baker that he’s done a mediocre job is something we’re definitely here for.

Mary herself has previously insisted she has no plans to retire, telling Hello! magazine last year, in the lead-up to her 80th birthday: I can't bear the thought of retirement and I haven't prepared myself for it. In fact, if anything her, star is currently on the rise, as she’s just made a name for herself overseas by appearing on an American version of ‘Bake Off’.

After Paul Hollywood’s attempts to take the hit show in the US proved unsuccessful, Mary later landed a judging role on a similar show, titled 'The Great Holiday Baking Show'.
