Anyone afraid that Mary Berry might not be returning to ‘Great British Bake Off’ in the future can breathe a sigh of relief, as Paul Hollywood says she won’t be going anywhere for a long time yet.
During the six years ‘Bake Off’ has been on the air, Mary has won herself a legion of fans, rising from cult figure to national treasure, and Paul reckons she’s just getting started.

Addressing whether he thinks Mary will be bowing out of the ‘Bake Off’ tent in the foreseeable, he told The Mirror: “Look at how long ‘Masterchef’ has been running - 20-odd years?”
A 124-year-old Mary Berry lifting a slice of lemon drizzle to her mouth and then telling an amateur robot baker that he’s done a mediocre job is something we’re definitely here for.
Mary herself has previously insisted she has no plans to retire, telling Hello! magazine last year, in the lead-up to her 80th birthday: “I can't bear the thought of retirement and I haven't prepared myself for it. I don't play bridge and I don't play golf. Besides, why should I retire when I love every moment?”

In fact, if anything her, star is currently on the rise, as she’s just made a name for herself overseas by appearing on an American version of ‘Bake Off’.
After Paul Hollywood’s attempts to take the hit show in the US proved unsuccessful, Mary later landed a judging role on a similar show, titled 'The Great Holiday Baking Show'.
