Think nail polish is just for women? Think again.

According to news website Mic, men have been wearing nail polish since 3,200 BC, with different colours signifying different societal classes.

Flash forward a good few centuries and rockstars like the late Kurt Cobain and David Bowie made the look cool again. More recently, celebs like Johnny Depp, Jared Leto and Jaden Smith - have all been seen sporting the look.

But now the trend has finally gone mainstream, with countless men on Instagram sharing their nail art with the hashtag #MalePolish, started by fashion designer Marc Jacobs (and he definitely knows what’s up).
