NTAs 2020 Winners: Peaky Blinders, Coronation Street And Ant & Dec Win Big

Ant and Dec won Best Presenter for the 19th consecutive year.

Peaky Blinders, Coronation Street and Ant and Dec were the big winners at this year’s National Television Awards.

The trio each won two awards a piece at Tuesday’s ceremony, which was held at London’s O2 Arena.

Peaky Blinders was the surprise winner in the Best Drama category, beating both Killing Eve and Line Of Duty, while its star Cillian Murphy was honoured in the Best Drama Performance.

Coronation Street’s Katie McGlynn was awarded Best Serial Drama Performance her her portrayal of Sinead Tinker in her cervical cancer storyline, which ended in the character’s death last year.

Her former co-star Peter Ash also won Best Newcomer for his role as Paul Foreman.

Ant & Dec also won the award for Best Presenter for the 19th consecutive year, while I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, which they host, won the Best Entertainment Show.

Elsewhere, there was a surprise win for Mrs Brown’s Boys in the Best Comedy category, where it beat the likes of Fleabag and Derry Girls.

Gavin & Stacey was also honoured with a special Impact Award, following the hugely successful Christmas special, which has since become the most watched non-sporting BBC show since current records started in 2002, with a whopping 18.5 million viewers.
