Ryan Thomas has revealed he is yet to receive a letter of apology from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ co-star Roxanne Pallett.

Over the weekend, a report claimed the actress had penned a letter to Ryan to say sorry for accusing him of hitting her “repeatedly” and “intentionally” while in the house, which she later conceded was a “mistake” and an “overreaction”.

However, when the topic was brought up during an appearance on ‘This Morning’, Ryan told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “I’ve heard this. I haven’t received one.”

Ryan won the series following the controversy with Roxanne, which he revealed left him fearing he would be in trouble with the law.

He said: “I just felt like you know the police were going to call me. It was serious. That’s why I broke down because I was so, so frightened, because these situations become, you know…”.

The former ‘Coronation Street’ actor then explained how hearing the crowd’s chants of “get Roxanne out!” on eviction night served as “clarification” for him.

“I even questioned, ‘Did I hurt this woman?’. Because it was so nothing to me,” he said. “Maybe I caught her with my ring, on her arm, I was even questioning what happened because everyone was making such a thing out it. But again this was a place where there was cameras everywhere.”

Reflecting on what has been called “punch-gate”, Ryan admitted he was at first unaware of what had caused tension in the house.

“I remember the first time I felt isolated when people were starting to sort of not give me the time of day, not involve me and it felt weird,” he said. “I also thought it was something to do with me. I thought maybe I was having a bad day, I was tired. I sort of blamed myself for that. So then I woke up the next morning and I went into the Diary Room, I said, ‘I’m feeling better today, I’m going to get involved’.

“Even when she [Roxanne] stayed in a separate room, I thought it was an argument between her and Ben.”

While Ryan was given a warning from bosses over the incident that was never revoked - even when Roxanne admitted she had “got it wrong” after leaving the house - he insisted it “meant nothing to him”.

“I thought it was just something that they had to say to me as a TV show, because it was a sign of affection,” he said. “But that was just something I thought they had to do for technicality reasons I never really looked into that.”

‘This Morning’ airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
