Channel 4 has announced the line-up for the first ever celebrity edition of The Circle, and it’s a veritable “who’s who” of reality TV regulars.

The show – which aired its first two civilian series in 2018 and 2019 – sees people living in isolation and only communicating with one another via a specially-designed social media platform.

In other words, it’s a lot like the events of the last 12 months, to be honest with you.

The twist is that contestants are able to “catfish” their competitors by donning a different online persona to try and make themselves more popular.

Last year saw Richard Madeley getting in on the fun and tricking his fellow contestants into believing he was a 27-year-old woman named Judy, and Channel 4 has now gone one step further with an all-celebrity series.

Taking part are reality TV staples Sam Thompson, Charlotte Crosby and Pete Wicks, while Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker and Drag Race UK finalist Baga Chipz will also be on the show.

Also on the line-up are rapper Lady Leshurr and performer Denise Van Outen, both of whom are currently in training for the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice.

Rounding things off are Blue singer Duncan James and two double acts in the form of Loose Women panellists Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha and presenters Melvin Odoom and Rickie Haywood-Williams.

The Celebrity Circle will air in 2021 in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, while a third series of the regular show will also hit our screens later next year.

Emma Willis will be back to host both series, while comedian Sophie Willan will once again serve as narrator.
