The ITVBe reality show regular nearly lost a kidney after he was caught up in a fight between two rival gangs at swanky nightspot Aqwa Mist, in the early hours of Monday (30 May) morning.
However, he has now shared an update on his health, as he thanked fans for their concern on his social media page.
Tweeting a picture of himself in his hospital bed, he wrote: "Thank you so much for everyone's amazing support and getting me through this. I'm getting better thank to everyone."
He continued: "Can't get rid of me that easily.
"Nurses and doctors are best people on Earth the way they look after you and help is just something else all deserve much more. Thank u," he added.
Jake was in Spain with the rest of the ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ cast, and was partying with friends at the club in Puerto Banus when the incident happened.
His spokesperson told the Daily Star at the time: “Jake is in hospital in Marbella, however, I cannot confirm any further details at this time.”
Jake first joined ‘TOWIE’ in 2015, and despite his relatively short time on the show, has risen to become one of its most prominent cast members, thanks to his turbulent relationship with on-off girlfriend, Chloe Lewis.
The pair called it quits in the series finale of the ITVBe docusoap last month, over rumours that he had been unfaithful with new ‘TOWIE’ recruit Megan McKenna.
Megan - who has been dating Pete Wicks since joining the show after her stint in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house - has vehemently denied the rumours on a number of occasions.
