Vehicle Abandoned On Vauxhall Bridge Deemed 'Non-Suspicious' By Police

The bridge had been closed while specialist officers examined the scene.

A vehicle abandoned on Vauxhall Bridge with its hazard lights on has been deemed “non-suspicious” by police.

Police had cordoned off the streets near the headquarters of MI6 and closed the bridge after the vehicle was discovered just before 4pm.

Vauxhall train and tube stations were also closed as the vehicle was examined by specialist officers.

However, the vehicle has now been deemed “non-suspicious” and the bridge is expected to reopen shortly, police said.

“Vehicle left abandoned on Vauxhall Bridge with hazard lights on and no driver has now been fully assessed by specialist officers and deemed non-suspicious,” Metropolitan Police said in a statement on Twitter.

“No arrests have been made. Bridge will be reopening shortly. Thanks for your patience.”
