As Caroline Flack once famously said, things are about to get turbulent, as Love Island is about to take off once again.
The fifth series of the ITV2 reality behemoth is just around the corner, with a whole new set of Islanders set to touch down in sunny Spain on the lookout for love.
Following ITV’s official announcement of when we can expect it back on our screens, here’s absolutely everything we can tell you about the new series...
When does Love Island 2019 start?
ITV has confirmed the fifth series will kick off on Monday 3 June.
They made the announcement on Twitter, posting a short video of host Caroline Flack on a lilo revealing the air date.
Interestingly, the video features the hashtag #DayDotIsComing – but what Day Dot is or what it means remains unclear.
Who is presenting Love Island this year?
As you might have already guessed, the Flack is back, returning to play matchmaker to all of this year’s singletons.
Narrator Iain Stirling will also be on duty again, providing hilarious commentary on all the antics unfolding in the villa.
Who are the new contestants?
ITV isn’t due to confirm the line-up until a week before the series launches, but that hasn’t stopped a number of names circulating in the press – many of which will already be familiar to viewers.
Among those rumoured is the brother of Strictly Come Dancing professional, AJ Pritchard.
Curtis Pritchard is said to be entering the villa in the hope of finding love, after serving as a professional on the Irish version of Strictly.
He was forced to pull out of the series earlier this year when he and AJ were the victims of a nightclub attack, which left Curtis needing surgery on his knee.
Another name that has been touted is Tyson Fury’s younger brother Tommy.
The 19-year-old, who is also a boxer, is said to be hoping to move out of his sibling’s shadow by appearing on the show.
Continuing the theme of contestants with famous siblings is Rochelle Humes’ half-sister Sophie Piper, and the younger sister of Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Sairah.
Sairah was previously rumoured to be part of the Casa Amour twist last year, but never materialised.
Then there’s Amelia Goodman, who is the sister of Ex On The Beach’s Chloe Goodman, and Ethan Allen – the younger brother of former Love Island contestant Gabby Allen, who you’ll remember popped up on the show in 2017 when he paid Gabby a visit.
It has also been claimed former Big Brother contestant Lotan Carter, who is also famous for being part of the Dreamboys, will enter the villa.
Reports surrounding his inclusion are intriguing as he was removed from the Big Brother house in 2017 for aggressive behaviour.
Ercan Ramadan, who enjoyed a short spell in TOWIE, is reported to be on the hunt for love, as is Taylor Ward – the daughter of Real Housewives Of Cheshire’s Dawn Ward.
Other rumoured contestants include Britain’s youngest lottery winner Jane Park, Instagram ‘influencers’ Sav Berry, Braelin Kail Peery and model Ted Pullin.
What are the changes to the aftercare system?
Following the deaths of former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis, a number of Islanders came forward to demand a more robust aftercare system was put in place, amid claims show bosses were not doing enough to support participants after leaving the villa.
ITV later announced they would be introducing a swathe of changes, having completed an independent review of their aftercare processes.
This will include “bespoke” social media and financial management training for new contestants, as well as a more proactive approach to checking in with former Islanders.
Is Aftersun back?
Caroline confirmed that spin-off show Aftersun will be returning this year on her Instagram Stories on 21 May.
As in previous years, she will be bringing fans an extra dose of Island action every Sunday following Love Island at 10pm on ITV2. The first episode airs on 9 June.

Where is the Love Island villa this year?
It is believed the show will once again come from the villa located in the hills of Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in Mallorca that first made its debut in 2017.
It has been claimed the villa will undergo some minor changes to make it feel fresh, after builders were pictured working on the garden in photos published by The Sun.
There has also been reports the series will scrap the second villa which has featured in the Casa Amour twist for the past two series, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
What about LGBTQ+ contestants?
One of the biggest criticisms aimed at Love Island concerns the fact the format is geared towards heterosexual relationships, therefore not having much in the way of inclusion of LGBTQ+ people.
While Love Island has previously featured bisexual contestants Katie Salmon and Sophie Gradon in series one, the show is yet to feature more in the way of queer representation.
However, executive producer Richard Cowles has said that the idea of a same-sex Love Island could be explored in its own dedicated series.
He said last year: “Absolutely we’d consider two series a year.”
Can I still apply to be on Love Island?
The short answer is, yes!
With new Islanders constantly arriving, producers are casting new people to join the show throughout the series.
This means that the application process is still up and running, closing on 15 July.
